Ps Romel Ray Ortiz shares an essential truth from the Word of God, to watch here’s link to the video: THE CALL TO SERVE

Matthew 20:28 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

THE CALL TO SERVE GOD IS FOR ALL THE TRUE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST (Luke 22:26-27)
Faithful servants never retire. You can retire from your career, but you will never retire from serving God. – Rick Warren

IF YOU WANT TO REALLY GROW IN THE LORD, BE INTENTIONAL TO SERVE HIM (Matthew 6:24)
The measure of a men’s greatness is not the number of servants he has, but the number of people he serves. – John Hagee YOUR

DESIRE TO SERVE GOD IS AN OVERFLOW OF WHAT IS IN THE INSIDE (Hebrews 6:10; Colossians 3:23)

Lies of the Enemy when we begin to serve God:

1. You are not qualified (Story Peter: When he was called by God to preach to the Gentiles – Acts 10:12-15, 27-29)
2. You should first overcome your struggles (Story of Gideon: Judges 6:14-15)
3. You are young or already old to do that (1 Timothy 4:12; Acts 7:30, 33-34)
4. It is only for those few people who are called in the ministry (Joshua 24:15)
5. If you serve God, you will be left behind and your personal desires will not be fulfilled. (Job: 36:11; Malachi 3:17-18)

HOW CAN WE SERVE GOD:

1. Be willing to offer to God to use your skills for the kingdom work (1 Corinthians 10:31, 33; Exodus 35:34-35)
2. Sacrificially make time to volunteer in ministries that you think you can help (1 Corinthians 15:58; John 4:37-38) – Nothing is wasted & you will always have something to contribute as long as you do it for the Lord.
3. Be involved in winning the lost. Invite people. Host a life group. (Acts 10:24; John 4:39-4; 1 Corinthians 3:8-9) Help in gathering people for them to listen to the Word.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BEGIN TO SERVE:

1. It changes you in all aspects of your life (Romans 8:28)
2. It builds your life in a positive way (1 Kings 19:19-21)
3. You begin to surround yourself with godly people (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
4. It helps you to begin to go out in your comfort zone (1 Corinthians 15:9-11; Matthew 14:31) “How utterly terrible is the current idea that Christians can serve God at their own convenience.” – Aiden Wilson Tozer
5. It draws you closer to God (1 Corinthians 8:2-3; Psalm 100:2-3; Luke 10:38-42; John 11:32-36)
