Welcome to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, your church, your home, your family! We are very happy that you came today! The Lord has a real blessing for you! As you open your heart to the Lord, he will touch your life like no one and nothing can. He is still the great Giver and great Restorer. Today is a “Change Sunday”! It’s one of those special days where we seek to hear the words of God and open our minds & hearts to the idea of changing. Surely all of us have areas in which we can be better. As a matter of fact, very many of us desperately need to change in some area of our lives. The Lord is on our side, that is, he wants to help us change for the better. Nothing is impossible for him to do. So he can change even the most “hard cases” among us. We want to give time today to reflect on the shortness of earthly life as we know it. Time does fly fast. We grow older faster than we notice (or at least than we are willing to accept). Our children grow into youth then young adults faster than most of us are able to make the most of our short years with them living with us. We all march closer and closer towards our eternal or final destination – heaven or hell. Spiritually and morally speaking, life is short too. We all need to get our lives ready for our “graduation” from earthly life as we know it and for the time when we will face God in the Judgment. Yes we all do have to make some things right before its too late. Hell is real, and we do well to factor that into our choices and decisions. The reality of heaven and hell must be taken very seriously, and we must make adjustments in our lives while we still can. May our discussion today stir our hearts, awaken our minds, and move us to change so we will be ready to face the Lord and give an accounting of how we spent our God-given lives (and all that’s included in it).
