GOD’S WAYS ARE DIFFERENT THAN MAN’S WAYS

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8)

In the kingdom of God, the way up is down and the way down is up

IF YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY, DON’T FOCUS ON YOURSELF.

But in the kingdom of God, the way to be happy is to make others happy

“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.” (Mark 8:35)

You cannot be selfish (self-centered) and be happy at the same time (John 4:34; Revelation 4:11)

“I can do nothing of my own pleasure; but as I hear, so I judge. And my judgment is just; for I seek not my own pleasure, but the pleasure of him that sent me.” (John 5:30)

LOVING YOURSELF WITHOUT BEING IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF.

We should love ourselves without being in love with ourselves

IF YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY, LOVE GOD AND LOVE PEOPLE

“And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37 – 39)

You and I will find true happiness as we give our lives away. Happiness is a byproduct of a life lived for God and others

IT IS GOD’S DESIRE THAT YOU GIVE YOUR LIFE AWAY TO GOD AND PEOPLE (Philippians 2:4; Philippians 2:7, 9; Luke 10:30 – 37; John 5:24)
