Discipleship
One cannot be called a leader without a follower. Jesus, as the perfect example, spent most of His earthly public ministry discipling twelve ordinary people, forming their character and teaching them the will of Father God.
As a church, discipleship is something that we put a great value on. It is a heart formation - aligning the believer's heart to God's heart, forgetting his plans and surrendering to God's plans, abandoning his character and following Jesus' characters. It is where wrong ideologies, distorted beliefs or traditions, and destructive values be toppled down through an intimate and consistent relationship. Discipleship communicates a shared love for God and His people. It strengthens every believer to live passionately and pursue radically the will of God on earth. Discipleship is the key to a fulfilling and strong Christian life.
John 8:31-32
"Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
