Positioning Your Heart for a Great Year
Then Joshua said to the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."
Joshua 3:5
It’s my joy to greet you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Another year is on us now. 2014 is now history. 2015 is here for us to face. 2015 can be your best year so far! The Lord wants to bless you and your family and make you a blessing to others so that they may also taste and see that the Lord is good!
Regardless of how last year turned out for you, the New Year 2015 can be a very good year! But certain things may need to change. God is in the business of changing people, families, offices/businesses, schools, communities, and nations. Changes around you can happen as you pray and do your part. But more importantly, change must happen inside you. Your heart (the innermost part of you, the place of desire) must change. You have an important role to play in this. But God’s role is crucial and necessary as well.
You and I can exert our best efforts and there will be results. But our abilities and resources are limited. We need God to supply what we don’t have. Ultimately, we can have or enjoy something only because God gives it or allows it. Thus, the God-factor is the most important factor for success in this New Year as well as every year.
We all need to have the right positioning or configuration in our hearts! Heart positioning has to do with heart attitudes and commitments on key issues of life. Wrong positioning means we are not ready to receive great blessings from God. Is Jesus Christ the Lord (Boss) of your life? Are you living for him or only for yourself? Is your faith in God or are you dependent mostly on your own abilities? Your answers to these and similar questions reveal the position or condition of your heart.
If you sense that your heart may not be positioned properly in some major area of life, the Lord invites you to surrender that part to him. He will help you and change you so that you will be ready to receive the big breakthroughs of God in and through you and your family this year 2015. The Lord is gracious and will give you the power and help to change.
The year 2015 holds possibilities for many great and wonderful things that can happen! I’m excited to see what the Lord will do in and through you this year!
