Uncommon wisdom for an uncommon life - Part 2
- True Love Waits
The Lord tells us to wait for the right time. Don't get impatient. Don't force it. Instead wait. Wait patiently. The Lord gives his best to those who leave the choice to him. (Songs of Songs 2:7; Song of Songs 3:5; Song of Songs 8:4; Ecclesiastes 3:11) - Learning is more important than just passing or graduating
So many students are miserable because they do not understand the connection between education and learning. Instead of going to school and taking courses just to pass or graduate, unleash your curiosity, embrace the process, worry less about your grades, and enjoy learning. (2 Timothy 3:7) - Giving is happier than gaining
The Lord wants you today to realize the joy of generosity. He wants you to give more and be happy in the good that giving does, and less in the gains it provides. (Acts 20:35) - Talking too much often results to needless pains and conflicts.
Many people are very careless, tactless, unwise and unloving in their words. Hurts and resentment are piling up, and many people are becoming more and more on fighting mode and ready to tear their enemies down. (Proverbs 10:19; James 3:6; James 1:19; 2 Timothy 2:24) - Prayer is more powerful than persuasion
If we are living by God's uncommon wisdom, we will spend more time talking with God and less time persuading others to do what we want. (Mark 11:23; Philippians 4:6-7; Jeremiah 17:5; Isaiah 31:1) - When all else fails, don't give up because there is still hope by reason of the grace and mercy of God.
Your situation is not hopeless. The dead parts in your life can live again because the Lord is a God of resurrection. Even if you've failed or sinned or messed up big time, the Lord can forgive you and restore you.
The grace of God is bigger than you sin. When you feel that only judgment and destruction are coming to your life, forgiveness, restoration, and a new beginning can surprise you as you return to God. (2 Corinthians 12:8-9; Psalm 55:22; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Let God's uncommon wisdom be our guide, and we will live above-the-ordinary kinds of life to the glory of God and our enjoyment.
