1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift [ability] you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Welcome to our special Sunday worship celebration today! Today we celebrate the fact that all of us have been given gifts or abilities by God to serve him & people. We rejoice in the privilege and blessing of using those talents for the glory of God and the good of his church. This day is our Ministry Fair! The nine Secondary Ministries are excited to welcome new and returning volunteers. We will all be given snapshots of the work of the ministries so we can feel which ministry or ministries we are called to participate in. All the ministries are important. What each of us needs to do is to find where our abilities can best be used and get connected to the people who are already involved so that we can begin to serve as soon as possible. “It’s more fun serving the Lord” is more than a nice slogan for those involved in the Secondary Ministries. It is a living reality and a source of continuous joy, meaning, and fulfillment. The truth is God made you to love and serve him and people. There is a unique expression of you as God made you that will fit very well into at least one of the ministries in the church. So take the plunge, and you will feel the refreshing and joy of serving the Lord alongside positive and happy people. The Lord wants you to be Unleashed in your gifting or abilities! So get right on getting involved. The Bible says that all children of God have received from God gifts or talents that can be used to benefit the lives of many people. One way to identify your gift is by identifying what you like to do or enjoy doing. Another is by simply trying. Try getting involved in something. If it works, you’ve found an area where you can serve. If you don’t do well in one thing, don’t give up. Try another. There you may find your niche in your service to God. The Lord wants all of us to get involved in serving him and his people. We invite you to volunteer in any of the ministries. Please fill up the form on the Ministry Fair brochure that is inserted on today’s newsletter. And do visit at least one Ministry team on the hall before you leave after the closing prayer. The Lord’s rich blessings on you and your family and ministry! Lathur Badoy
