When answers aren’t enough…..God is there!

Answers... There are times when they are hard to find. As much as we desire to understand (and agree with) everything that happens to us, to people close to us, or just around us, the fact is we don’t always have answers. As a community of faith, we somehow expect to always know what is happening, why they are happening, and how things will end. But even faith includes an aspect of mystery. The fact is we don’t always know or understand. Because we live in a world that has been corrupted by sin, our lives are marked by imperfections and we experience some measures of injustice. Our lives are impacted by the selfishness of people. And we can be hurt by people who may not necessarily want to hurt us, but the present weaknesses of their lives somehow affect us negatively. We seek answers. Sometimes, answers come quite easily. At other times, however, they don’t come. God seems silent. But this does not mean that God does not care. No, of course not. God cares. God cares so much. He feels deeply the pain you and I feel. He cries with us in our sorrows. He is hurt when we are hurt. Answers may not be enough for now, but the Lord is with you. Some things may seem so unfair, but God is still around. The future may look so dark, but God goes with you into your future. Eventually, the answers will come. It’s just a matter of time. Keep believing, keep hoping for the best. Keep doing what is right. Don’t analyze everything that’s going on. And don’t give in to destructive feelings of hatred or self-blame. The sun will shine once again. The season will change. Things will get better. Because you have a Father in heaven who is ultimately in control and has your life in his heart and hands.
