Go and Tell

We naturally tell others about good and happy things we have experienced or know about. After purchasing some great clothing with huge discounts, we tell our friends so they can consider visiting the same stores and enjoying for themselves the big price cut. After trying a new restaurant and being delighted with the food, ambience, and/or reasonable prices, we volunteer the information to our family or friends when we have the opportunity to do so. Or if we know of good sales, we spread the word so our co-workers, business associates, or classmates can take advantage of those sales also. We do it because it’s fun and we find satisfaction in being able to point people to something that they can enjoy too. As wonderful as buying things at huge discounts, enjoying a meal at a wonderful new eating place, or finding some really good sales are, there is an experience that is even more (much, much more) worth telling others about. It’s the wonderful new life we have under the leadership of Christ and the guidance & empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Man’s sins (which are serious in God’s sight) can be forgiven. Man can find peace with the Lord who is his Maker and Judge. Man can live a deeply meaningful and satisfying life here on earth, and a life of perfect peace and joy in the new heavens & new earth that is coming. Today, let’s talk about this good news! Then, let’s go out and tell others about it.
