Matthew 4:19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

It’s time to go fishing. It’s time to launch out into the deeper waters where more and bigger spiritual fish- that is, people- can be found. Lighthouse as a spiritual family is not a cruise ship, not a floating casino, and certainly not a floating restaurant. We are a family on a mission. We exist to honor God by winning souls and making disciples. Fishing is hard work. Fishing involves risks. But it can be very rewarding. Regardless of the presence (or even absence) of warm, fussy feelings on the idea of going out and bringing people to the Lord, it’s something we should do because our Lord Jesus Christ commanded it. We also go out and share the good news of salvation to people because Christ is their only hope of forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God. Jesus Christ is the one and only true hope of the world and of each person. Today we launch our third and last Each One Change One Campaign for this year 2019. It is also our final big concerted effort as a whole church to help us reach (or even exceed) our Faith Goal: 6,000. Let us all agree with God and each other to give our absolute best to work together so we can accomplish our goal. Team work truly makes the dream work. What should each one do? Well we can all pray. Then we can all invite. Some of us can host life groups in our work places, schools, boarding houses or homes, or just anywhere people can gather. On our four Change Sundays beginning next Sunday, let’s invite and bring as many as possible (family, friends, classmates, co-workers, even strangers or new acquaintances). This is most exciting. The Lord is pleased, and we will see tremendous spiritual fruit as a result of our hard work in partnership with God and each other. Enjoy our worship celebration today.
