A Call to Warfare Prayer – Ps Leah Hope Badoy

Posted on April 19, 2020July 29, 2024
WANTED: SPIRITUAL FRONTLINERS This pandemic is empowered by the spirit of darkness and therefore must be battled in the spirit using spiritual weapons. Spiritual problems also warrant spiritual action and spiritual solutions. 2 PRAYERS NEEDED FOR THIS SEASON I. DEFENSIVE PRAYERS 13 Ephesians 6:13-17 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. II. OFFENSIVE PRAYERS Ephesians 6:17-18  17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. James 4:7 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hand for war, and my fingers for battle -- my loving kindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me. (Psalm 144:1) HOW THEN SHOULD WE PRAY?
  • THE CHURCH MUST NOT ONLY DO DEFENSIVE PRAYING BUT WE MUST MOVE TO OFFENSIVE PRAYING.
Matthew 16:19 19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid[a] on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit[b] on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
  • WHEN AND HOW THIS CRISIS WILL END WILL ALSO DEPEND ON THE RELENTLESS PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
James 5:16 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
  • THE CHURCH MUST PRAY AND ACT NOT IN FEAR, BUT IN FAITH.
1 John 4:18 - There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 - For you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound, well-balanced mind.  Psalms 27:1 - The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
