1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
Human relationships are some of God’s best gifts to us. Money and possessions are good, but family and friendships are so much better. But while human connections can be great blessings, some can be very negative and destructive. We want to talk about these so we can avoid them. Who we are close to affect us- for good or for bad. Who you marry and who you befriend impact you greatly. You can go up with them. But they can also bring you down with them. Our rising or falling all begins with heart or soul-connections. The actions and activities are merely the result of the soul-bonds. If you want to be strong, healthy, and happy spiritually, then you must carefully choose who allow to be close to you. This choice involves accepting and pursuing relationships with positive influence people. But it also involves rejecting or avoiding relationships with people who influence you for bad. These same things apply even when your goal is not to be specially spiritual, but you certainly don’t to accomplish nothing with your life or even throw your life away. This talk can get deeply personal, but so are the consequences of our actions. The teenage girl who got pregnant, the boy who got involved in illegal drugs, the adult who got hooked in vices, and the like are very personal. Private lives, families, careers, and whole futures can be destroyed when we hang out with the wrong people. Soul-ties are very powerful connections. Let’s make sure they are godly or healthy. May the Lord richly bless you, your family, and your ministry! Lathur Badoy
