Beloved Lighthouse family,
Our hearts rejoice greatly in the Lord that we have finally met again together on a Sunday after five long months. It’s an emotional treat and delight just to see your lovely faces. What a joy to be together again on a Sunday worship celebration. As we come before the Lord with hungry hearts along with his people, the Lord will surely satisfy us with his transforming presence, life-changing Word, and the warmth of love from the spiritual family. Truly there is no place like home, and church is our home with God our Father and with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Of course we still have a Saturday afternoon worship celebration to accommodate the increasing number of people who are coming, including those who have been coming on Saturdays last month (July), and those who have other reasons (or simply preference) for attending on Saturday afternoons. The Lord bless you all, and we are equally happy to see you.
This weekend, we will be reflecting on the degradation and darkness in our world, and how we can serve the Lord’s purpose on this earth. Jesus Christ said that we his followers are the salt (preservatives) of the earth. And he calls us to be solidly godly so that we can impact society and keep it from decaying morally and spiritually. The Lord Jesus also says that we his disciples are the light of the world. If there’s darkness in the world, it is largely because we have not burned bright enough with righteousness, peace, and joy of God through the Holy Spirit. We need to acknowledge our failings and resolve to shine God’s light of truth and justice in a morally and spiritually dark world.
The Lord has a blessing for you and your family today. Receive it in Jesus’ name.
With much love,
Pastors Lathur and Leah Badoy
