Hebrews 5: 8 Although he [Jesus] was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
God has a gift that many have not embraced with faith and joy. Some still grumble and complain, fight and take revenge. There are people who are embracing this gift well. But a big number are rejecting it. The gift we are referring to is the gift of brokenness. It is a very important gift. It is very precious, like gold or diamonds. Brokenness of spirit can transform a person into a Christ-like being in character and actions. He or she will bear much fruit for God and will be very pleasing to the Lord. The benefits and rewards are many and they are experienced here on this earth and in eternity. It is sad, however, that many do not like to embrace God’s gift of brokenness. But today we want to talk about it and encourage one another to accept this gift of God in each and every season of our lives. We want to truly grow and mature. And we wish to help each other to be like Jesus in our character and also to finish our mission on earth like he did. Admittedly there is some real pain and loss when we embrace this gift of God as we will be saying goodbye to some familiar habits, attitudes, people, and things. But it will be worth it. It is the right way to go. It’s the way the Lord has planned for each and every one of his children to go. The new habits, attitudes, people, and things will bring so much transformation that the old realities will be forgotten or overshadowed. So let’s all do it. Let’s embrace God’s gift of brokenness. May the Lord sustain you by his grace as you seek to allow him to shape (mold) your life and to transform you spiritually so that you will become like Christ in your character, actions, and words. The Lord’s rich and abundant blessings be on you and on your family today! Lathur Badoy
