All of us face Goliaths in our lives. These are the seemingly overwhelming forces that threaten to harm us, hinder us, or take something very important from us. Goliaths are the giant issues that threaten to overpower us and crush us. Goliaths can take many forms. They may be severe financial lack that threaten to make life very miserable for you or me. They may be health concerns that rob you of your quality of life and may be draining your finances and your energy. Goliaths can be family conflicts that can potentially divide the family or separate loved ones permanently. They can be personal issues that imprison people in some area of life, like addiction to pornography, alcohol, gambling, and other habits that have become uncontrollable and destructive. Goliaths can be anything that mocks you and paralyzes you with fear. Goliaths may seem to be too big to conquer, but the truth is they can be defeated! While most people around you may give up trying because they feel that any attempt to fight will just result to frustration and failure, you can rise in faith and see a decisive victory! The Lord wants to be honored in every situation, and he wants you to live in freedom and victory. No enemy of the wonderful plans of God for the world and each person's life can stop a person who is devoted to God. If you love God and know God, and are zealous for the glory of his name and the dignity and freedom of his people, you can defeat the giants that are trying to hinder you or imprison you in negative or ungodly situations! Whatever your needs or situations may be, know that the Lord loves you and wants to bless your life! Open your heart to him. Trust him. Obey him.
