GAINING VICTORY OVER OUR FAILURES AND MISTAKES IN LIFE

FAILURES AND MISTAKES HAPPEN BECAUSE THE LORD ALLOWS IT FOR US TO LEARN AND GROW IF WE CHOOSE TO RESPOND WELL. We also fail because of ignorance, selfishness, immaturity or disobedience. (PSALM 139:1 – 4) We need to guard our heart & responses in seasons in our life that we fail. (Proverbs 27:19) REASONS WHY WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL:
  1. The enemy will use this time to inject lies & condemnation to you. (1 Peter 5:8; Romans 8:1)
  2. In this season of your life you can lose your self-confidence and purpose in life (John 10:10)
  3. You will lose the joy of serving God (Psalm 51:12)
  4. You will entertain the thought of giving up your spiritual family (Luke 15:4; Luke 15:20)
  5. You may begin to doubt & question God (Prov. 19:3)
  6. You chose to harden your heart (Psalm 51:17)
Reasons why we fail & commit mistakes in life:
  1. PRIDE (James 4:6)
  2. STUBBORNNESS (Jeremiah 5:23)
  3. JEALOUSY - THE LIFE OF JOSEPH (James 3:16)
  4. IGNORANCE
CRUCIAL DECISIONS THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE:
  1. Decide not to allow your emotions to dictate your decisions. (Psalm 43:5)
  2. Be grateful in your season, ask the Lord to help you grow. (1 Thessalonians 5:18; Romans 8:28)
  3. Humble yourself seek help do not isolate yourself (Psalm 51: 1 - 4)
  4. Learn from your mistakes but not judge yourself (Micah 7:8)
  5. Decide to change and continue in the Lord despite the shame & regrets (Proverbs 4:18)
