God’s Plan vs Man’s Plan
The LORD is a God of purpose. He has a will and a plan for every person. Every person will do well to devote his or her whole life seeking to know and do God’s will and plan for his or her life. To do so is to honor God and also positions one’s self to receive God’s bountiful blessings.
To seek one’s good outside of God’s will and plan is to invite trouble and problems. The LORD is God. He know what is best for every person. He wants what is best for you and me. We have to believe that. To doubt God’s goodness and concern for his glory and our best interests is to open one’s life to temptations and choices that can eventually destroy one’s life.
Are you pursuing God’s will and plan? Or are you on a path of “self-discovery” and “self-fulfillment” outside of the scope of God’s will and plan as revealed in the Bible and taught to each person by the Holy Spirit? There are unbelievable benefits of following God’s plan. On the other hand, there are too many dangers in pursuing or making a life outside of God’s will and plan. I firmly believe that every person who desires to honor God and live a life of righteousness, peace, and joy will choose God’s plan and refuse the temptations to carve out a life outside of the parameters of God’s holy and protective will.
Of course, choosing to follow God’s will and plan will involve some practical commitments and habits. Those habits and practices will help one find, stay in, and grow in the rich soil of God’s wonderful will and plan. Do them and you will likely succeed in the most important issue of life- knowing and doing God’s will and plan.
So what are you waiting for? Hop in and take the thrill ride of following God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. You will be glad you did. And the LORD will be honored by your love and obedience.
