Hebrews 5: 8 Although he [Jesus] was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
God has a school that many are not enrolled in. Some are enrolled but they miss or avoid the classes often. There are people who are doing really well in this school. But others are not graduating because they have gone AWOL or have dropped out. The school we are referring to is the school of brokenness. It is a very important school. The lessons that are learned there are precious, like gold or diamonds. When applied to one’s life under the power of the Spirit, the lessons will transform the student into a Christ-like being in character and actions. He or she will bear much fruit for God and will be very pleasing to the Lord. The benefits and rewards are many and they are experienced here on this earth and in eternity. It is sad, however, that many do not like to go to God’s School of Brokenness. But today we want to talk about it and encourage one another to enroll in this school in each and every season of our lives. We want to learn our lessons well. And we wish to help each other to graduate. Admittedly there is some real pain and loss when we enroll in this school as we will be saying goodbye to some familiar habits, attitudes, people, and things. But it will be worth it. It is the right way to go. It’s the way the Lord has planned for each and every one of his children to go. The new habits, attitudes, people, and things will bring so much transformation that the old realities will be forgotten or overshadowed. So let’s all do it. Let’s study and finish in this school. May the Lord sustain you by his grace as you seek to allow him to shape (mold) your life and to train you spiritually so that you will become like Christ in your character and actions. The Lord’s rich and abundant blessings be on you and on your family today! Lathur Badoy
