THE TRIBULATION AND GREAT TRIBULATION PERIODS
(Matthew 24:6-13; Matthew 24:15-22; Daniel 7:25; Revelation 13:5; Revelation 12:5-6; Daniel 9:27)
THE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS WILL NOT BE “RAPTURED” OUT OF THE EARTH BEFORE THE TRIBULATION AND GREAT TRIBULATION PERIODS, BUT WILL BE ON THE EARTH DURING THE TIME OF THE “7 SEAL JUDGMENTS” AND “7 TRUMPET JUDGMENTS” (BUT NOT THE “7 BOWL JUDGMENTS”)
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 24:29-31; Matthew 24:39-41)
YOU NEED TO BE REALLY STRONG FOR THE DIFFICULTIES OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD
7 Seal Judgments in Revelation chapters 6 and 8
7 Trumpet Judgments in Revelation chapters 8,9 and 11 (Revelation 13:11-17; Hebrews 12:26-29)
HOW TO SURVIVE AND OVERCOME DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD
- Be fully confident that Christ and His faithful people will win over their spiritual and human enemies
(Revelation 19:19-21; Revelation 20:1-3; Revelation 20:7-10; Daniel 2:31-35; Daniel 2:44-45)
- Be assured that there will be divine protection and provision for much of God’s people as they also learn to believe & pray and hear & obey God’s voice and directions (Revelation 12:5-6; Exodus 11:4-7; Matthew 2:13-14; Matthew 2:22-23)
- Love God above yourself and be willing to lose all, including your life, for Him (Revelation 12:11)
- Prepare mentally. Develop an understanding of some possible scenarios that may happen as prophecy unfolds. In short, make it your goal to study and know enough about the Tribulation and Great Tribulation periods so that you can begin to imagine what may come and prepare
Ways to prepare mentally:
- Study, don’t just read, your Bible (Daniel 9:2-3)
- Pray & ask God for understanding of what is coming & how they may unfold in concrete terms (Daniel 9:2-3)
- Watch a carefully selected list of movies in the coming weeks and months (Note: This is not for children, teens, and adults who may not be mentally, emotionally, or spiritually mature, strong, or stable enough to understand or properly receive some scenes or themes)
- Read good books on the theme of the Great Tribulation (1 Peter 1:10-11)
- Be spiritually, mentally, emotionally, & physically strong to endure what will come (Matt 24:42-44; 1 Peter 1:13; Luke 21:25-28; Jeremiah 12:5; Proverbs 24:10)
- Be practically prepared to stay faithful to God even under intense persecution and suffering: Financial assets in kind, Knowledge and skills on survival, Lifestyle adjustments now, Most critical items, Other things
- Be more excited than afraid to go through the coming troubles knowing that they are “birth pains” that will give way to the “baby” of the perfect kingdom of God on earth (Romans 8:18-25; Philippians 3:20-21; Revelation 11:15-18)
