Romans 5:3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Tests are necessary for promotion! The more tests you pass, the more qualifications you have. You are more eligible for higher authority (with all the benefits that come with it) if you pass tests that show or prove that you are ready for something bigger! The same thing is also true in spiritual matters. You develop yourself through testings. You become better by going through hard times. Character is formed, not in the easy times, but in the tough times. Endurance, which is so important, is developed through high-intensity experiences, often happening for a prolonged period of time. It is when you push yourself beyond your limits that you discover that you are able to do more. As you allow yourself to be stretched, you will expand in your mindset, in your heart, in your people-skills, etc. When you are looking for a surgeon to perform a very important operation on you or someone you love, you want the very best doctor. And the best one is the one who has undergone intensive training and has accumulated much practical experience. The best surgeon is the one who has gone through so much so that he is mature and skilled in his work. We also look for the best trial lawyers, accountants, and engineers. All things being equal, the best ones are those who have gone through a lot, and are, therefore, ready to give the best service. The Lord also wants you to be a masterpiece of his grace and power. If you are willing, God will work in your life to mature or perfect you so that you will be developed in godliness in every area of life. You can, then, be a display of God’s power for many to see. So, as the Lord helps you, welcome the tests that God sends or allows. The future glory will far outweigh the pains and troubles in the present time. Are you going through tests today? Are you getting discouraged because of the difficulties that you are facing? Is your heart being poisoned by bitterness because you feel unjustly hurt, grossly ignored, or unfairly attacked? You may be going through testing. I encourage you that what you are facing will not last forever. It will end. Allow the situation to accomplish some good thing in your life. Pass this present test so you can go to the next (higher) level. Your tests will prepare you for bigger victories and responsibilities with privileges, if you welcome them with a heart that trusts God. May God’s rich blessings fill your life, your family, and your ministry today! Lathur Badoy
