Happy 9 Years Old Lighthouse!

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Service for the 9th Anniversary of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship! Today we celebrate 9 years of God’s great faithfulness and goodness to us as a spiritual family. From a life group that met in a house, we have now become a strong and growing family of Christ-followers. And we are looking forward to more fruitful and enjoyable years ahead as we serve the Lord. The theme of our anniversary celebration is “Commit. Conquer. Expand”. Our key verse is in Isaiah 54:2-3 which says, "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left...” Today as we celebrate the Lord and what he’s done in us and through us the past 9 years, let’s commit (or re-commit) our lives to him for the next leg of the journey! Let’s make Jesus Christ the absolute boss (Lord) of our lives. If we do this, we will be ready to conquer territories (individual lives, families, boarding houses, businesses, offices, campuses, organizations, etc) for the Lord! Only surrendered lives can conquer. They are strong because Christ’s power flows to them and through them. As we commit and conquer, we will expand. The Lord is giving us new areas to reach and influence for the Lord. There are new fields to explore and take for the great name of our Lord! Get ready to bear more fruit for the Lord, including in new places! There will be pleasant surprises (unexpected breakthroughs) along the way! So prepare yourself to go farther and higher for the Lord! All glory and praise to our wonderful Lord! All that we are and have come from him and are for the glory of his great name! To him belongs eternal praise!
