Ezekiel 36:26 I'm going to give you a new heart, and I'm going to give you a new spirit within all of your deepest parts. I'll remove that rock-hard heart of yours and replace it with one that's sensitive to me.
Welcome to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship! We are thrilled that you were able to come! Today is CHANGE HEART SUNDAY! Truth to tell, we all need a change of heart somehow. In big or small ways, we all need to release some negative thing inside us that will not do us or others any good. In our imperfect and broken world, we can be hurt. We can harbor bitterness. We can respond to pain by isolating ourselves or erecting high emotional walls to protect us from more pain. We can be tempted to take revenge to get even because we feel so aggrieved or hurt. We ask you to open your heart and seriously consider the words of the Lord Jesus and the teachings of the Word of God. Surrender your hurts to the Lord. Choose to take the high road that leads to freedom, peace, and life: the road of forgiveness. The Lord is the One who made you. He knows what’s best for you. He tells you to forgive those who have wronged you because he knows that is what is best. So forgive today, and receive the healing power of forgiveness. And if you hold a grudge against God because you feel he did not answer your prayer in a time of need, like a serious crisis in your personal life or family, release that hatred against God. God has not done you any wrong, but for your own sake, tell him that you are no longer angry with him and that you “forgive” him. For those who blamed themselves for some foolish action that brought serious negative consequences, forgive yourself as well. Release yourself from self-hate because you allowed yourself to be used or abused, or you were so careless or so stupid to trust some people who took advantage of you. Cancel your claim against yourself, and receive the healing power of forgiveness. This is a day that the Lord made for you to have a change of heart! Receive his grace to help you be fully free, whole, and alive in Jesus Christ! Lathur and Leah Badoy
