Zechariah 9:12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.
The life of the follower of Jesus is not a bed of roses. There are trials. Problems happen. Often we are the ones who cause or invite the troubles to our lives because of ignorance, selfishness, or immaturity. Sometimes we suffer from things that are beyond our control. People’s actions are beyond our power to determine. Environmental factors can have powerful influences or effects on us. But regardless of what is done to us or happens to us, Christ-followers are not without hope. There is a higher power that helps us. There is a sovereign force that lifts us out of prisons of lack, sickness, addiction, hopelessness, and the like. There is always hope for any person who is willing to receive help from God. God does not practice favoritism. He is willing to help any one (regardless of how unworthy they may feel). Are you going through some serious problems today? Are there fierce battles taking place in your life and you are being wounded or hurt? Is there are a situation in your life that seems hopeless or beyond repair? Don’t despair or lose hope. Don’t stop believing. Don’t give up. There is hope and peace from God for you. Receive the message of God that has the power to turn your life around. Open your heart to God’s words of hope. Let the wise instructions of God that, when obeyed, results to healing and recovery enter your soul and stay there. Decide to honor God with faith and obedience so that his grace and power can work in your life. May you encounter the Lord’s great love for you today! May you be able to taste and see the goodness of the Lord. And having received God’s hope and peace, may you overflow in worship and service to the loving & glorious heavenly Father. Lathur Badoy
