We do not need anything when the Lord enters our lives, for He is the Great Provider who lavishly cares for us so that we cannot have an undersupply of anything necessary for contentment. Things cannot possibly satisfy and still our souls; only He can. Let this message from Ps Lathur Badoy entitled “HOW GOD OUR SHEPHERD LEADS US HIS SHEEP” bring rest and peace to your soul.
The Bible likens God as our shepherd, and we are his sheep. (Psalm 23:1-6)
God is guiding you every day through His voice (Romans 8:14, John 10:27)
You can hear God's voice anywhere and anytime (Acts 8:26-30). Ananias (Acts 9:10-17), Peter 10:9-11, Paul and Barnabas (Acts 13:2) and Paul (Acts 9:10-12)
Why you need to hear God's Voice every day?
1. So you can develop a deeper relationship with him (Isaiah 50:4)
2. So you can do what God says and follow his perfect will (John 10:4; Ephesians 5:17)
3. So you can understand the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10)
How God leads you every day?
1. Through the Bible (Hebrews 4:12)
2. Through the Voice of the Holy Spirit and Conscience inside You (1 Corinthians 6:19, Romans 8:14, Job 27:6)
3. Through Peace in Your heart from God (Col 3:15)
4. Through Vision or Dream (Acts 10:9-13; Matt 1:20)
5. Through Spiritual Leaders (Hebrews 13:17). It is therefore important for us to respect our church leaders (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
6. Through Circumstances (Jonah 1:12)
How to know that what you are hearing is the voice of God?
Not all voices are of God, no matter how loud or clear it is. There are voices that belong to deceptive spirits (1 Timothy 4:1). We need to test if the voice we hear is of God, man or the devil.
1. What is being said conforms to the teachings of the Bible (2 Timonthy 3:16-17).
2. What is being said honors Jesus Christ as the Lord. The Holy Spirit exalts Jesus Christ only and no one else (1 Corinthians 12:13).
3. What is being said eventually produces inner peace as you submit to it in your heart - The voice of God gives inner peace (Colossians 3:15) but the voice of the enemy brings sorrow and confusion (Psalms 55:2-3).
4. What is being said confirms what God has been saying through other means (Matthew 18:16).
Why don't we hear the Voice of God sometimes?
1. Because our lives are filled with worldly things (Matthew 13:22)
2. Because there is unbelief in your mind/heart (Luke 1:18-20)
3. Because our lives are too busy, and we don't have a proper frame of mind/heart to hear God talk to us (Luke 10:39-42)
4. Because we already resolved to do what we want and are no longer open to hearing God's voice (Romans
You will reach your promise land if you hear and obey God's voice every day (Psalm 23:1-6)
