How to Become and Remain Joyful in God Always

Posted on July 14, 2024February 17, 2025

The Lord wants you to experience great delight in Him. He wants you to find your deepest satisfaction in Him. Satisfied people spontaneous praise the cause of their joy. When you are filled with joy in God, you will naturally speak of the good and wonderful qualities of God to those around you. God will be lifted high in your speech and actions. God is most glorified in you when you are most satisfied in him.

Your first priority every single day of your life is to make your heart happy in God. This is not as easy as it sounds or as some would make you believe. The Lord will give full support in this daily quest, but there is a real work that needs to be done. There is a real battle that needs to be fought and won. Joy in God is not natural to fallen people. Though we have been justified (declared forgiven and righteous) in God’s eyes because of Jesus Christ, our souls (minds, emotions, wills) still carry some ill effects from the fall (sin and downfall) of man. Joy in God is achievable, but it requires some real cooperation with God on our part.

There is so much in your thinking and emotions that pulls you to negativism. There is so much around you (people, experiences, etc.) that tend to rob you of a joyful life in God. If you don’t do solid work and serious battle against negative factors, you will find yourself becoming bitter, unhappy, and spiritually shallow. You will lose your joy in God. But if you do what the Lord says in his Word (the Bible) and deal with the inner you every single day, you will find the reward of a joyful life in God every day inspite of what happens inside your soul or around you.

Today we will talk about how to become and remain joyful in God always! The answers from the Bible are clear and doable. But you must be willing to “pay the price” if you wish to find deep satisfaction in God regardless of the circumstances and actions/ words of some people around you. You can do it because you are not alone. The Lord is with you and will help you. The spiritual family is also available to assist you. Let’s journey together in this quest of finding our deepest satisfaction in God because it will result to the lifting of the good and great name of God. God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.
