How to Improve Family Relationships
Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
What feelings are stirred up in you when you think of your family? Are they happy feelings? Or are they sad or perhaps even angry feelings? The Lord wants to touch your family and change it so that you will enjoy your family relationships. If your family relationships are good, God wants to make them better.
If you feel that your family relationships are bad at this time, the Lord wants to make them good. You may think that change is impossible because the situation has been that way for a long time already, but the Lord reminds you that positive change is possible. Nothing is impossible with God.
Every human being longs to belong to a family that is secure, positive, happy, and loving. Sin and evil are the destroyers of joy in family relationships. But the Lord can help your family so that you can overcome sin, evil, and limitations so that you can enjoy your family.
Today, we begin a series of teachings/discussions on the family! Family is very important in the eyes of God. The Word of God, the Bible, contains the best advice on improving how family members relate to each other. Let’s learn from the Word of God and apply what we learn so that our families will become happier and more pleasing to God.
