Living A Revival Lifestyle
Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
The events of November 16-19, 2019 have changed individuals, families, and churches, including ours. The Worship Coaching with Rick Pino last November 16 was attended by some 850 active worship team members from many churches across many groupings and denominations from many parts of Mindanao (as far as Cagayan de Oro and the Surigao provinces). The 14th Year Church Anniversary and Faith Goal: 6,000 Victory Celebration was so inspiring and empowering for us at Lighthouse as a spiritual family.
The Worship Night with Rick Pino attended by thousands from many churches ignited a greater fire and hunger for prophetic worship even among some of the strongest churches in the city and region. And finally, the Fire and Glory Conference 4 was so blessed by God that it lit a huge fire that has the potential of touching whole cities and regions for the glory of God and the gospel of Christ. What a heavenly conference it was.
We agree that the Lord indeed brought revival to us. Now how do we handle it so that it continues and grows instead of slows down and dies? The best answer to that question lies in the pages of the Holy Scriptures themselves. The New Testament book of Acts records the coming of the Holy Spirit in great power and how the disciples were transformed as a result. Then the transformation spread from them to their city, then to the surrounding areas, to farther lands and reaching to other continents such as Europe and Africa. The New Testament describes the powerful acts of the Holy Spirit through surrendered disciples. Secular history contains reliable published accounts of the spread of the faith of Jesus and his disciples so that in about 30 years’ time, much of the whole known world had been impacted by the gospel.
May we learn and practice a revival lifestyle so that we too may see such a powerful spread of the gospel that changes lives, cities, regions, and nations for the glory of God.
