Living by Faith and Its Many Rewards
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
One person who experienced some almost unbelievable supernatural healings and miracles was a British man named Smith Wigglesworth. He was a Christian evangelist. His faith in God allowed him to see things that most humans never experience. He believed in God and the Word of God, and kept a strong faith. One time, he was quoted to have said, “I am not moved by what I see. I am not moved by what I feel. I am moved only by what I believe [the Word of God].”
Today, we want to talk about faith. The Lord wants you and me to live by faith, not by sight. He wants us to be moved by what he says, not by what we feel or sense with our physical senses. Faith is taking God’s Word as our final authority and moving forward in spite of some lack of “assurance” in the realm of what can be seen or felt.
The Lord is a rewarder. He rewards faith in him. If you live by faith, you will receive many rewards from God. You will experience a life that has the imprint of the divine in many ways. God’s power will be able to work in your life. You will enjoy the supernatural in your life.
Do you live by faith? Do you base your decisions on God’s Word instead of your feelings or the suggestions of people? Or are you a doubter? Do you always want fleshly assurances before you move forward? Are you moved more by feelings than by the truths as laid our in God’s Word, the Bible?
Today, let us be encouraged to believe God in every area of life and for everything in our lives! We will be empowered to live by faith and not by sight (fleshly feelings and thoughts)! And the result is a life that experiences the purposes and power of God.
