“Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am.”
- Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:24 Message Bible)
Welcome to our special worship celebration today! We are glad that you made it. The Lord has something for you that will have a beautiful, positive impact in your life. We are excited to receive the good things the Lord will release and do today. In the business or corporate world, the change of management of companies can be stressful for the officers and staff. There are new ways of doing things. There can be a new company vision-mission and strategic direction. The operating standards may change. The unfamiliarity as to how the new management will treat the officers and staff, how gracious and generous they will or will not be, and the like can cause uncertainty that results to fear and worry. But the change of ownership or management of companies can also be very thrilling and exciting. If the new owner or management has a proven excellent track record of being the best in the line of business, then the transition can be accompanied not by fear or worry, but by the anticipation of upgrade and other good things. Yes there will be adjustments, but the result is assured because of the proven excellent record of the new owner or manager. The officers and staff can look forward to better compensation packages and more healthy working environments. The change is very welcome and will bring much good. Today we will talk about living under new management. We want to know what coming under the ownership of Jesus Christ means. We are willing to begin a new era in our spiritual lives. We are making the transition to make Jesus Christ our Lord or Boss. This is a needed change. We are too selfish and unable to lead ourselves to the eternal life that God wants us to have. The devil certainly will not bring us to heaven. We need God to own us and manage our lives. This is at the heart of what it means to change. It is God who does the changing according to his perfect standards and wonderful, loving heart. God is the best in the business of changing lives, and the results are guaranteed if we comply with the standards and embrace the process. Is Jesus Christ the owner and manager of your life? Is he the one you are following? Today make sure that your answer to the two questions is Yes. There will be adjustments, but the result is guaranteed and glorious. May the Lord richly bless you and your family this week! Lathur Badoy
