Overcoming 3 Big Temptations in Life

One of the realities of life is that there are temptations. The enemy of our souls, Satan, tempts us to distract us from fulfilling our mission and to destroy our relationship with God and people. There are different kinds of temptations. Today, we will talk about 3 big ones and how to overcome them. Thankfully, we have all the spiritual resources we need to fight and win over temptations when they come. If you are a child of God, you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you. That’s big-time power right there. Then you have the spiritual family to encourage, protect, and strengthen you. You have powerful angels at work in your life and meeting various needs in your life (Hebrews 1:14). You have the Word of God to instruct and guide you so that you can know what to do when you face different temptations in life. Satan tempts you and me to do things our way. We need to overcome the temptation to meet valid needs in wrong ways. You and I are tempted to take the easy way. How often we seek the path of least resistance, but by doing so we also compromise the truth and what is right. And we are also tempted to not believe God’s promises until God shows it to us in our own terms. The Lord wants us to not test him but just believe him and receive the fulfillment of his wonderful promises. You can overcome the temptations that you face right now. You are a winner in Christ. Just trust God and obey him. Live in close relationship with the spiritual family. Seek to actively be involved in serving God.
