Prayer That Produces Spiritual Transformation
Prayer is like spiritual breathing. We cannot live without it. When we stop praying, we can lose our spiritual life (vitality).
Yet as important as prayer is, so many who claim to be followers of Christ don’t do it. They may call on God when there are problems or when they want some thing. But there is no regular practice of communicating with God.
And the result is a weak Christian life and an unfruitful service to God. Because there is no personal transformation that is a result of regularly spending time with God, there is a lack of spiritual discernment that results to correct decision-making, protection against spiritual attacks, and more.
In his grace, the Lord is giving us a window of time to strengthen some very foundational things, one of which is our prayer life. Hear the Lord’s call to come away and be with him. Quiet your soul and listen to the gentle whispers of God in your spirit. Shut yourself in for as much time as you can in this season so that you can pray. The Lord loves that. And you would be delighted and blessed if you do that.
This week is our final week in our 3-week or 21-day prayer and fasting season for this year 2014. I encourage to not give up or be contented too easily. There are breakthroughs, blessings, and miracles that can still come if you continue to pray.
Want to be transformed? Seek the Lord through spending quiet times with him. The longer time you spend with God, the better. You will be surprised at the changes you will see as a result.
Blessings on you and on your family today!
