Pursuing the Things That Really Matter
You are designed by God to live a life of purpose! When you seek to know and do what God has planned for you, you will experience a meaningful and deeply fulfilling life. There's nothing on this earth that's better than it.
However, not every person is walking according to what God says are truly important. Sadly, many people pursue things that will not matter much in the end. Some of these things are not wrong by themselves. But they are very temporal or earthly and would have no or very little value in the light of eternity. Some people are throwing their lives away in things that are destructive. This is not God's will and must be avoided or stopped.
Today, the Lord reminds you and me to pursue positive things, satisfying things, and lasting things. Enough of just existing or surviving. It's time to lead thrilling, meaningful, and deeply happy lives. There are many things that we can enjoy on this present earth, but nothing beats living for God and serving God.
We are now preparing for our major new campaign, the EACH ONE CHANGE ONE campaign. This is going to be exciting. Let's all rally behind this. Let each one be involved. Make it your personal project for God to be able to bring at least one person to the Lord and help that person grow in his or her relationship with God. You have about 3 months to do this. Then, we will repeat the cycle one time. By then, you would have experienced the thrills and adventures of seeking and saving the spiritually lost, and helping them mature in their relationship with God. You would have become an instrument for the changing of at least one life every 3 months, and repeated the same process once. That is exciting.
I encourage you to talk to a life group leader or approach our EACH ONE CHANGE ONE volunteers at the lobby if you have questions. Also, you may want to purchase your Change 12 manuals at the lobby so you can begin to familiarize yourself with the lessons. You can obtain other information from the Lighthouse Facebook page and website, or by calling the church office.
God's rich blessings on you and your family this week!
