Although chaos may surround you externally, God wants to give you rest internally. The only way to have rest is to know Jesus Christ and allow His promises to overpower everything and everyone else. Receive peace and assurance as you listen to this message shared by Ps Lathur Badoy about RESTING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD!
God has given us great promises on which we can rest our lives.
God wants you to be happy and at peace
Psalm 62:1 "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. 2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken... 5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him."
Go to the Lord when you are in trouble. You will find rest in him. Don't go to the wrong places or people. You will only be unhappier there (Psalm 127:2 " In vain you rise early and stay up late. toil for food to eat - for he grants sleep to those he loves.")
If you are a follower of God a child of God, you have a Father in heaven who provides for you and gives you a happy and peaceful life (Matthew 11:28-30) If you feel so stressed out, so worried, so tired, come to the Lord Jesus. He will give you rest.
god has promises for every area of your life
The Lord wants you to experience abundant life. He has promises that cover every area of your life. He has promises that cover every area of your life, in Christ, you have everything you need. (3 John 2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Peter 1:4; Deuteronomy 1:11)
God will fulfill all his promises
The Lord will fulfill all his promises to you. You can believe that. (Numbers 23:19 "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?)
Just keep moving forward, keep trusting, keep being positive, keep hanging on. You will look back and see that God's promises have all been fulfilled in your life. (Joshua 23:14; 1 Kings 8:56; Psalm 145:13; Matthew 24:35; 2 Corinthians 1:19-22)
you need to labor and persevere so that you can enter into god's rest
The Lord will do his part. You also need to do your part. The Lord wants you to make every effort (labor or strive) to enter into the rest of God. (Hebrews 4:9-11)
Practically speaking, entering into God's rest involves taking time to seek God every day. Part of laboring to enter God's rest is to have correct values and priorities in life. The peace and joy of God comes as you and I practice the teachings of Jesus.
Another very important thing to enjoy the promises of God is to hang in there even when things are hard. When things seem to be going wrong, or things look bad or even hopeless, hold on to the promises of God. Don't let go. (Hebrews 10:35-36)
