Stand Firm
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
You need to stand firm! Storms of life happen. Temptations come. Testings are an unavoidable part of life. So you need to be steadfast. When things come that threaten to take you down, you must trust in God, be strong, and not allow yourself to be swept away.
The Lord our God is reliable. You can stand firm in his goodness, holiness, faithfulness, and power. You can count on God to be what he says he will be or to do what he says he will do.
In life, you and I will go through experiences where we need to stand firm and not allow ourselves to be shaken. Some people will treat us unfairly. Our prayers are not always answered in the way and timing that we want. There can be persecutions from people who don’t have the same spiritual and eternal values that we have. When necessary, stand firm in the Lord.
The Lord will help you to be strong and steadfast. He will give you the ability to stay the course even when you are tempted to turn to the right or left, slow down, or even give up. As you read the Bible every day, talk to God through prayer, attend life groups, and do other things that strengthen you on the inside, you will be able to stay true to God and keep flourishing regardless of the seasons that you may go through.
May the Lord, the stable source of everything you need, richly bless you, your family, and your ministry!
