Matthew 4:17 Jesus began to proclaim, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Welcome to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, your church, your home, your family! We are very glad that you came! We prepared hard and well so that you will experience the Lord today. We are thrilled at how the Lord can touch your life and bring a big blessing to you today. The Lord is calling you and me to turn away from things that displease him and destroy our lives! He wants us to stop doing things that are not right and good. They are worthless things, ultimately, and are harmful to us and others. Today is the day to repent, that is, to recognize that some things we are doing are not right, and then to turn our back on those things and return to God. Repentance is leaving behind what is evil, sinful, or selfish, and turning back to doing the opposite of those wrong things. Today is Change Direction Sunday! Hear the voice of the Lord in your heart or in your conscience. He is speaking to you. He is saying some things. He is giving you some instructions. Say "yes" to God. Say "no" to sin and selfishness. Take that bold step of changing your life. The Lord will help you. He will give you the strength to do what you sense or know is the proper change of direction in your life. What is it that you need to repent of today? What habits are displeasing to God and need to change soon? What attitudes should you change- pride, self-sufficiency, self-righteousness, self-pity, etc? Are there relationships or arrangements that should not continue in your life? What kind of life do you think you will have if you carry on with the questionable or immature things you're doing instead of making a U-turn or turn-around? The Lord is calling you to a much better life! It is true life, abundant life, eternal life. But you cannot enter into and enjoy the awesome plan of God if your heart and life is already full of things that are not compatible with what God has planned for you. So give those sinful things up. Believe that God knows best, and you will have what is better if your trust and obey him. You will not regret making that wise choice of repenting. God's rich blessings on your life, family, and ministry today! Lathur Badoy
