The Four Seasons Believer: Thriving and Victorious
Philippians 3:12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation…13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Rainy days and sunny days. They come. It is not all rainy. Neither is it always sunny. Seasons change. Right now, it’s summer time in the Philippines. It’s hot. But in a number of months, serious rain may start falling onto our beloved Philippine soil again.
Though not in exactly the same way as the physical or natural seasons, emotional seasons and spiritual seasons also change. Life is not one big flat experience where everything remains just as they have always been. There are mountain-top periods (high seasons) and valley times (low seasons). There are times when it’s all breakthrough and blessing. There are also times when trials come and we feel stressed out to the max.
The Lord is with us in every season. And we can thrive and be victorious no matter what may come. That doesn’t mean that things will always be easy and comfortable. But it does mean that we can still bear fruit for God regardless of the season, and we will still be victorious despite the ugliness of some of our experiences. If you are a follower of Christ, you are a child of God, and the Lord’s love & power are with you in each season, in every transition, and through all the laughter and all the tears.
What season of life are you in right now? If it’s a conquering-and-winning-always season, we rejoice with you. Keep your heart humble, give glory to God, and share your blessings with others. If it’s a tough and stormy season, then hold on to God and his promises. We are with you in the stress and the pain. Don’t despair. You will get out of that tough place. And you will come out stronger, wiser, more able to feel with others, etc.
Through Christ who strengthens you, you can face any and every season and thrive or be victorious in it.
