The Kiss of God

I recently read a story where a man and his wife were sitting in their living room. While they were there, they noticed their neighbor across the street pull up in to his garage. He stepped out of the car with flowers in his hand, met his wife at the door and laid a passionate kiss on her. As they watched all this play out across the street, the woman turned to her husband and said, “Why don’t you do that?” The man looked at his wife and replied, “Well, Honey, I hardly know the woman.” That may sound funny. But the wife who made that comment was looking for a special kind of love. She was looking for a love that says that she is worth something… that she is valuable. The good news is that the Bible says that God loves you! You are very valuable to him. Just a few days ago, most of the world celebrated Valentine’s Day! People exchanged “Happy hearts’ day” greetings. We all need love. We all want love. But love is not that easy to find. So many people look for it in the wrong places and end up disappointed or hurt. But if you look for love in God, you will never be disappointed. God is love and he loves you with true love. Today, we will look at the story of God’s love in the Bible. We will see the contrast between man-made religion and Biblical faith. We will be struck by the power of true love. It’s a love that touches our lives even when we are at out worst. God gives us that love...unconditionally! Open your heart, trust the Lord, and receive the kiss of God today. It will change your life, I promise you. Enjoy God’s love for you 🙂
