God wants our speech to glorify him and build people up
1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
Psalm 19:14 "May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing in your sight. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."
Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
