John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
We live in a broken and imperfect world. We wish things were easier or better, but we cannot deny that often they are not. We try to act strong and appear happy, but the truth is we know we’re not really that okay and that we need help. Our lives can seem so broken. And the Coronavirus pandemic has made things very difficult for so many people. Lost jobs, bankrupt businesses, pressures on online schooling, fears of being infected with the virus, and more all seemingly connive to make things potentially unbearable for some people. Couples can fight, children can rebel, and parents can become too busy and forget to nurture their children emotionally and not just physically. We can fail in exams, get laid off from our jobs, lose big business opportunities, be rejected or betrayed romantically, suffer from sickness, or have some prolonged problem in the family. And we ask, “What we should I do?” and “Is there still hope for me?” Today let’s talk about some very powerfully life-changing truths we should remember when our lives seem broken. These are ideas from God that will sustain us when we feel too weak to carry on. These words from God can give us the strength to go on and the hope to persevere when all seems lost and the thought of continuing seems all to be a waste of time. The Lord wants to breathe life to our souls today. He wants to heal your wounded heart. He desires to energize your exhausted mind and spirit. Today he says to you, “Don’t give up. I will help you. You will make it. You have a bright future ahead of you. Keep going on no matter what.” Your world may have crashed, and hope seems to be farthest from your mind. But you are not finished yet. You can arise. You will get up with Jesus’ help. There will be a reversal of circumstances, and you will eventually get the victory. So keep trusting in God. Continue to do what’s right. Don’t throw away your faith in God. Don’t run away from people who love you. Receive these life-changing truths from God, apply them, and with God’s help (as well as some encouragement and assistance from people in your spiritual and/or biological family), you will make it. You will win because of Jesus. May the Lord’s faithful love encourage your heart and draw you closer to him today! Be richly blessed in Christ’s powerful name! Lathur Badoy
