Victorious Over the Storm!

Last Thursday, Typhoon Glenda hit the Northern part of the Philippines! There was significant loss of life and property. Storms have a way of taking what is precious to us. They can bring much damage and loss. Storms do come. That’s part of life in a broken world. But life must go on! Life can go on! People can bounce back! Things will get better! You and I also go through personal storms. Sickness, financial crisis, conflict in the family, a failing grade in school, a business deal that was called off unexpectedly, a job application that did not get a positive response, and the like. Personal storms like these can threaten to rob us of good things that we desire or need. But take heart! Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is victorious over storms! And he helps you and me overcome our storms as well. You are victorious over the storms of life that you are facing right now as well as those that may come in the future. Regardless of the dangers that may be around you, don’t panic! Don’t be afraid! You are safe in the Lord! Jesus Christ will come and save you from your storm!
