Galatians 6:7-8 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
Wise people can make foolish choices. It shouldn’t be. But it happens. Thankfully, not all consequences are life-altering. Some affect us, but only superficially or very temporarily. We come out basically untouched and unmoved.
But soberingly, some foolish choices can have devastating and long-lasting results. They can have far-reaching consequences with significant collateral damage. The negative impact is very unwanted and must be avoided as much as possible.
Today we want to talk about some wrong considerations people use in decision-making. They are very common to people in the past as well as in the present. People have remained the same through the centuries in the areas of humanity that affect their choices. As usual, we will base our discussion today in the only true and unchanging guide for life- the Bible, which is the Word of God. We will look at Bible stories that describe wise people making foolish choices, and suffering as a result. Our goal is to gain wisdom so that we can avoid the losses and destruction that can come as a result of unwise choices.
What choices are you presently making? If they are big decisions, do you have clear guidance from the Scriptures that you are moving in the right direction? Is there deep inner peace from the Holy Spirit that somehow confirm to you that your choice is from God? Could it be possible that you are acting very unwisely and carelessly in some area, and may be about to pay a very high price for your foolish choices?
The Lord wants the very best for you! But you need to cooperate with him. You need to follow his laws and principles. When you do, you will experience the abundant life that the Lord wants you have.
God’s rich blessings for you and your family today!
