MERRY CHRISTMAS! Today we celebrate God’s amazing love that changes us for his glory! Thank you for coming to the worship celebration on this Christmas Sunday. The Lord is pleased, and you will receive a blessing because you came. In the midst of all the parties, reunions or gatherings of the extended family and friends, the shopping, and the trips, we do well to pause and reflect on the unchanging and ever-relevant meaning of Christmas. We do not want to miss out on the greatest joy, the deepest peace, and the most lasting fulfillment by getting distracted from the real essence of Christmas. On the contrary, we want to relish and enjoy the true substance and receive the true rewards of the coming of the Savior. Christmas is about the love of God that changes us and lifts us above the mundane and the earthly. It’s a love that transforms us from our dark, broken, or empty pasts into bright, whole, and meaningful futures. God’s love alters our lives by bringing the supernatural into our earthly experiences so we can know God and make him known. The truth is so many people feel unloved. There’s too much selfishness and human weakness that very many people have been hurt, abandoned, betrayed, and let down or disappointed. A good percentage even of people who feel loved are not sure that the love they feel or receive will always be there. Many people fear that the person who loves will change and will stop loving them. That’s why in our modern culture, very many people say that there is “no forever”. But God’s love is forever. It is unchanging, unfailing, unconditional, and much more. Christmas is one great time to be reminded of that and to be changed by that. God loves you. He loves you sacrificially, extravagantly, eternally. His love has the power to change your life right here on this earth and, most importantly, for eternity. As we reflect on God’s love on this Christmas Sunday, may you be so captivated by this love in your heart. May you receive this love fully in your heart so that you are set free, empowered, assured, and more. Christmas means God loves you. Receive that great love today! Lathur Badoy
